SB 507 PASSES SENATE--WRITE THE GOVERNOR TODAY

TAKE ACTION: WRITE THE GOVERNOR TODAY

Despite record profits, the CEOs of Oklahoma’s largest insurance companies and HMOs are reaching for more...at the expense of people injured or killed by corporate greed and irresponsibility.

They pushed SB 507 through the Legislature that would cap the damages judges and juries could award victims for pain and suffering...even in the most extreme cases. And the law would not require the insurance companies or HMOs to pass along the savings to doctors and patients.

WRITE THE GOVERNOR TODAY URGING HIM TO VETO THIS BILL

SB 507 would cap lawsuits and discriminate against children, retired Oklahomans and stay-at-home mothers. It would also discriminate against the most catastrophically injured victims whose lives are damaged forever. How is this good policy for Oklahomans?

WRITE TODAY URGING THE GOVERNOR NOT TO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST WOMEN, CHILDREN, RETIRED, AND STAY AT HOME MOTHERS

PROTECT PATIENT RIGHTS TODAY

SB 507 will allow nursing homes and hospitals to hide evidence about the injury or death of a patient. It will also allow drug companies to hide the deadly results of prescription drugs they manufacture. This will not result in a reduction in health care cost rather increase the cost of delivering medicine-- most of which will be paid by the state and tax-payer.

URGE THE GOVERNOR TO VETO SB 507 TODAY
