Bethany A. Bell-Ellison - MPH in Health Education and Health Promotion, Doctoral Candidate in Educational Measurement and Research with concentration in Community and Family Health
Bethany is currently working on her Ph.D. with an emphasis in Community and Family Health. She is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Community and Family Health, College of Public Health, University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. She is also currently performing graduate research work evaluating two teen pregnancy prevention projects where she is responsible for cleaning, managing and analyzing data, preparing written reports of findings, and assisting in manuscript development.
Bethany is also a research associate at the Center for Research, Evaluation, Assessment, and Measurement where she is involved in the evaluation of variety of projects, including the Parents as Partners Literacy Project, a new hands-on elementary school science curriculum and an American Cancer Society clinical trial database.
Bethany is currently overseeing the FACES of Lung Cancer project - a photodocumentary approach to lung cancer, that will lead to the development of a photo-essay, book, and brochure - "Faces of Lung Cancer". She is also responsible for the evaluation of the project, including creating the evaluation tools and analyzing the data.
Mrs. Bell-Ellison received her B.A. in Sociology at Mary Washington College, Fredericksburg, Virginia. She received her Masters in Public Health University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Measurement & Research with a concentration in Community and Family Health at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida.
